Many businesses have had difficulty maintaining user privacy over the last few years. No matter what industry a company is in, user data is crucial. In case of emergencies, they need to have some information on their clients on hand. But how can they ensure the safety of such a casual arrangement? The frequency and intensity with which hackers target their victims make this a pressing concern.

More than 1.2 million credit card numbers were made public today on the dark Web marketplace BidenCash. Card numbers, expiry dates, CVV codes, cardholder names, and financial institution names were all reportedly exposed in the breach, as reported by BleepingComputer. Credit card numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, SSNs, and phone numbers are also included.

Cybercriminals may use this data to perpetrate identity theft and financial fraud. There is a preponderance of American credit cards.

List of Countries With Compromised Credit Cards

The following region is believed to have had their credit cards compromised: America, India South America, Europe, Mexico, Australia, Spain, and China. You need to make certain adjustments if your credit card is issued by one of these countries. There is no harm in making sure your card is secure, despite the fact that 1.2 million is a very tiny amount compared to the number of cards from these nations, and so there is a very small risk that your card is hacked.

Some of these credit cards will no longer be valid after 2023, while others will be good until 2026. After a DDoS assault on its previous shop site, BidenCash seems to be using the breach as part of a PR push for its new store domain. Hackers and thieves spread these URLs through public forums and domains, which makes it more likely that they will reach a large audience.

Similar credit card dumps on the dark web often include fraudulent information, while some dumps just contain bogus data or data retrieved from older dumps masked under new identities. Cybersecurity company D3Labs has verified, however, that about 30% of the cards are legitimate, suggesting that up to 350,000 cards may still work.

Always check the website’s URL before entering your credit card details to ensure it is a legitimate site and not a hacker’s ploy. The user should also report any unauthorised use of the card to the card issuer as soon as possible.
