Instagram is now expanding the option to embed links on insta stories to all its users that have access to its Link Sticker feature, this featured option gives users the access to embed links on their instagram Stories. The roll out happened as a result the social platform forgo the “swipe-up” link which was previously on Instagram Stories and instead opted in for the new Link Stickers.
However the previous “swipe-up” link as well as new Link Sticker feature have only been available to businesses and influencers-profiles and creators accounts.
According to Instagram who relates “sharing link is of course helpful in many ways to accounts of all sizes and types, hence the reason it’s expanding the link share access to allow all its users to post what they want in their Stories with the privilege of embedding links on them.

Going forward, the social platform stated that the reason link share took this long to be rolled out to everyone is because the company needed to carefully consider it’s importance as it could interface with the app’s integrity and safety. Given that Spammers and hackers could utilize this in their favour by posting spam and hacking links thus luring users to click on them and also it’s could expand the spread of incessant misinformation.
Notably, Instagram also added that’s any accounts highlighted to be sharing misinformation and hate speech will be blocked from the Link Stickers feature.
