The focus of the technology world is moving to Qualcomm as the year winds down. The American chip manufacturer is about to release its latest and greatest mobile CPU. The release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chip is eagerly awaited by the IT community.

As an added bonus, this processor reportedly debuts the first in the Xiaomi 13 series. Two distinct Xiaomi 13 versions are said to be in the works, as per a recent revelation from @iceuniverse. Both the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be included. We anticipate both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the Xiaomi 13 to be announced within the next few months, as Qualcomm and Xiaomi have been recruiting talent for several weeks.

The primary shooter on the Xiaomi 13 Pro will soon be a Sony IMX989, and it will have an ultra-large 1-inch screen. As compared to the Sony IMX707 found in the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the latter’s photosensitive surface is 72% larger. And the ability to see light has been boosted by 76%. In addition, there is a 32.5% boost in shutter speed and an 11% boost during startup.

The imaging division has been recreated in its entirety. This phone’s features go well beyond the quality of the pictures it takes with its Sony IMX989 sensor. Some rumours suggest that the Xiaomi 13 series will include a curved 2K display. Several rumours indicate that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is used in this gadget. Rumours suggest the new Xiaomi 13 series may be released as soon as this November. When this product is finally released, we shall know for sure what kind of processor it uses. For now, Xiaomi fans will have to wait.
