WhatsApp has began rolling out it multiple device support to all users regardless of your operating system, that is whether you are an iphone or android user, you will be able to use WhatsApp multiple device support. This feature on prior launch was available to selected number of users who wish to try out the feature on its beta phase.
The feature gives users the ability to connect and use their WhatsApp account various multiple devices like PC web without the presence of their phone of device neither the requirement of their data or wifi connection been enabled is required.
However, the multi-device support only allows any iOS and Android user, to link up their account to four stipulated number of devices.
How To Enable WhatsApp Multiple Device
To be able to connect and use WhatsApp without your mobile device you will need to enable the multiple device option by joining the multi-device beta.
Simply launch your WhatsApp app on your android or iPhone, then select Settings -> Linked Devices. Select Multi-Device Beta, then tap Join Beta. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to start linking devices.
After your devices are linked, messages can be sent and received using the WhatsApp desktop app or web-based service without the requirement for your phone to remain online and the data or wifi connected to a network.
Meanwhile WhatsApp Inc. has not in ay way made it possible to delete messages or conversation threads through a linked device in addition, you can only message or call from the linked web, desktop, device to users who are already on the latest version of WhatsApp.
Are Messages and Calls Still End-to-End Encrypted On Linked Device?
The answer is YES! to that question. All your conversations remains securely encrypted on any of the linked device.
However, your smartphone device is required to before the 14th day of linking to in order for the device to remain linked, you are required to turn on and use WhatsApp a day before the 14th day upon linking so as to not be disconnected from device.
