Instagram is bringing back support for Twitter Card previews starting today. Which means whenever users share an Instagram link on Twitter, a preview of the shared post will be auto generated and shown right before and after tweeting to give users a chance at a peak on what the shared post is about.
Instagram has previously disbanded this feature which leaves users without the opportunity to have a have a first glims impresson on whatever shared instagram link post they are about to click on Twitter.
The decision to remove Twitter Card support on instagram came at time back in the year 2012 when the Social company’s founder Kevin Systrom and the social company CEO Mark Zukerberg said Instagram wanted to take full authorization of all its content adding that the social company wanted images to be viewed on Instagram and not on Twitter.
Twitter on the other hand also restricted the photo-sharing platform’s integration with its platform by removing a feature that let users find those they follow on Instagram, on Twitter, just few months after instagram’s declaration and announcement.

According to report which indicates they were series of backlash met with the development then, as it possed another form of difficulty to some users who said that it toughens the ability to cross-post between apps.
Meanwhile some users claimed they were able to develop another means which no doubt saved them the stress and bypass the dificult issue through using third-party platforms in order to feature Instagram posts in tweets.
Twitter has also accepted the change made by Instagram in a tweet, showing “if you want to share your latest Instagram post on the Twitter timeline too, you’re in luck. Now when you share a link to an IG post in a Tweet, it’ll show up as a card with a preview of the photo.”
The update is currently been rollet out to users on the Android, iOS bssed platfroms including those on the web. Hence, begining today everyone should expect to see the updates unfold on their devices.
