These Marvel Movies Are Being Delayed
A number of Marvel’s biggest film events meant to take the MCU into its next phases are being pushed back

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga is far from over, but as is customary with Marvel Studios’ endeavours, the release dates of several upcoming tentpole movies have been pushed back, in some cases by quite a bit.
Disney’s upcoming films Blade, Deadpool 3, and Fantastic Four: Age of Ultron, as well as Avengers: Secret Wars, have all been pushed back for reasons the studio has yet to explain. There was already speculation that Blade’s release would be delayed after hearing that production had been halted. However, with so many major films being moved around, it’s possible that the next two phases of the MCU will be confusing and hard to keep track of. New releases for the foreseeable future include:
- The New Blade premiere date is September 6, 2024, instead of November 3, 2023.
- The release date of the still-unnamed Deadpool film has been pushed back from September 6, 2023, to November 8, 2024.
- Fantastic 4 will now be released on Tuesday, February 14, 2025, rather than Friday, November 8, 2024.
- The new date for the release of Avengers: Secret Wars is May 1, 2026, instead of November 7, 2025.
With the exception of Blade, most of these films are only being delayed by a few months, so they probably won’t have a huge impact on the future of the MCU as a whole. It is unclear, however, how their big blockbuster events might be connected to any of the announced shows coming out in the next few years.
