The latest Android 13 For The Galaxy S22, Version 4 Now Rolling Out Without Multi-user Function
The S22 series is now the only device line to get the Android 13 beta 4 upgrade.

Keynotes
- Android 13 version 4 for the Galaxy S22 lacks multi-user support.
- One UI 5 beta for the Galaxy S22 is functioning.
- Android 13 Beta 4 eliminated the S22 multi-user feature.
- While the S22 series is the only device line to have Android 13 beta 4, we expect more devices to acquire One UI 5 beta in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy S22’s beta version of One UI 5, currently in development, is fully functional. Unfortunately, aside from fixing a few bugs, the latest beta 4 release of Android 13 does away with the option to have many users on a single device.
Many Galaxy devices have benefitted from the enhancements introduced by Android 13. Enhancements such as third-party themed icons help your home screen seem more cohesive. Adding a feature called “Privacy Detection,” which flags potentially sensitive data before it is sent, is also a big step forward.
Concerns regarding the current beta version of One UI 5 for the S22 series are overstated. Almost all of the modifications made in this patch address issues that had been present in earlier beta releases. Given that we’re talking about a pre-release version of Android, it’s to be anticipated.
In Android 13 Beta 4, multi-user functionality was removed from the S22. Previously, we could add users or visitors to the device, giving them access to their Google Accounts and other data. Unfortunately, the functionality has been obliterated for reasons that aren’t obvious now.
While the S22 series is now the only device line to get the Android 13 beta 4 upgrade, we anticipate that additional devices will receive the One UI 5 beta in the following weeks. Unfortunately, Samsung just released the One UI 5 beta for S20 phones, so it may take a while before the next update is available to everyone.
