Telegram Wants To Make It Simpler To Move Over Chat History And Conversation From WhatsApp

Just  as users contemplate moving from WhatsApp as the Facebook-owned messaging service initiates changes to its privacy policy, two outstanding messaging services have emerged as possible destinations — Signal and Telegram

In a bit of a hurry, While Signal would seem to have the edge — it’s a secure platform better than Telegram as its  doesn’t encrypt conversations by default or at all for other parts of its platform . Meanwhile, Telegram is working on a little something that would appeal to all WhatsApp users looking for a change of scenery.

As the Messaging platform states that’s  it’s developing a special tool that would enable WhatsApp Users  Move over all your chat history and conversation to Telegram.

If in any instance you are unable to leave behind your entire  WhatsApp conversations  feel like wrapping up lengthy chats, this new innovative tool will definitively come in hand, as it’s a  a straightforward feature that WABetaInfo spent some time using.

Furthermore, This WhatsApp Export Chat option will allow  users select Telegram from the Actions menu to bring those chats over from WhatsApp. Thus, users might not be able to see some of their messages brought overdue to the time the previous messages were programed to expire for those using WhatsApp Disappearing Message feature.

It is essential you think about the choice of messaging platform  to go with if you intend moving away from  WhatsApp. If you aren’t comfortable with your personal information being shared with Facebook, which is expected to happen as of Feb. 8, you could consider the  options of linking a blank profile. As we note in our guide to Telegram, some security experts criticize Telegram’s cryptography, which is reason enough to consider other encrypted messaging apps.

Telegram’s message importation tool isn’t available quite yet. An update was available on the App Store for a brief moment, then it was seemingly completely scrubbed by another update to the App Store. Which thus  means it’s still a work in progress. If you’re switching apps, though, you may want to keep an eye out for when it does become available so you can start moving over those messages too.
