The notch will most likely be replaced by a punch-hole design in the forthcoming iPhone 14 series, according to Apple. However, according to a recent rumour, even if Apple employs the punch-hole design, it will not be used on all the apple iphone 14 series. According to the most recent media reports, the iPhone 14 series will include a punch-hole design. This is also the viewpoint of well-known Apple analyst Kuo Ming-Chi.

The “punch-hole screen” refers to the fact that the screen simply includes a circular cutout for the front camera, similar to most Android phones nowadays. As a result of this design, numerous sensors, such as Face ID, will be deleted or relocated behind the screen.

As of yet, we cannot be certain that Apple has moved anything behind the display. Apple has yet to relocate the camera beneath the display. For its top iPhones, Apple has not even employed an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

As a result, Apple may be unable to move the Face ID sensor beneath the screen. It may take several years of effort before this sensor can be moved beneath the screen. This current rumour, however, is an outgrowth of the assumption that Apple would adopt the punch-hole camera. As previously said, if Apple uses a punch-hole camera, it has limited alternatives for Face ID. Nonetheless, the business can employ a pill-shaped punch-hole with one side dedicated to Face ID. If this is achievable, the corporation will have another alternative to consider.

The Apple IPhone 14 Series

Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the iPhone 14 series will not include 64GB of internal storage. The iPhone 13 series begins at 128GB, so Apple does not need to limit the storage capacity of its next iPhones to 64GB.

Furthermore, LG and BOE have yet to create 120Hz LTPO panels. Samsung, on the other hand, cannot handle such a large volume of iPhone 14 shipments on its own.As a result, it looks like the 120Hz LTPO display will not be used by the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

Following the cancellation of the small version, the new 6.1-inch iPhone 14 will be the most affordable in the series. The 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max will be released shortly after. However, the cost of Apple’s acquired screens has always been considerable. Given that the size of the display is currently expanding, the price is also rising. As a result, in order to keep the price low, Apple must water down certain other components of the display.

Currently, the 120Hz LTPO screen in the iPhone 13 Pro series is only available from Samsung. Apple lacks negotiating strength, and Samsung’s manufacturing capacity is insufficient to sustain three mobile phones with yearly shipments in the hundreds of millions of units. As a result, Apple considers not just the price of the screen, but also its production capability. Nonetheless, the iPhone 14 with 60Hz will be a step back, given that it will be released in 2022. Even for certain mid-range smartphones in the Android market, the use of 60Hz screens is becoming outdated.
