Shazam, the popular music identification app, has recently upgraded its iOS client app for iPhone and iPad adding the ability to locate more songs by evaluating audio that is playing for a longer period of time before providing a result.
Apple reported that Shazam had achieved one billion monthly recognitions, ranking it one of the world’s most popular music applications.
Users of Shazam may benefit from the expanded features by upgrading to version 15.0 of the app, which is currently available on the App Store. On devices running iOS 14.2 or iPadOS 14.2 and later, Shazam is also linked with Control Center and Siri, but it’s unclear if the advancements are instantly available through this method.
The Shazam app, which has been available on the App Store since 2008, allows users to rapidly identify music that they do not know the name of. The release notes make no mention of any additional new features for the current version of the program, which is still available for free.
