Samsung decided not to include a charger in the package of its high-end smartphones beginning with the Galaxy S21 in 2021. The South Korean manufacturer, the world’s leader in mobile telephony, followed in Apple’s footsteps. In 2020, Apple will no longer include a charger with the iPhone 12.
Premium Samsung phones went on sale without the typical power source. It is necessary to go to the checkout in order to obtain a new charger. Samsung, like Apple, thinks that most purchasers already have a charger in a drawer at home. Most manufacturers, including Xiaomi and Google, have copied Apple and Samsung.
Samsung, on the other hand, continues to provide a complimentary charger in the package of its more affordable smartphones, the Galaxy A and Galaxy M. According to a new leak, things are about to change. According to Yogesh Brar, a reputable Indian leaker, “no chargers will be included in the box for the upcoming M&A series models.”

However, prospect buyers of the new Galaxy A or Galaxy M will also need to purchase a charger unless they already have the item. This action is clearly intended to cut the manufacturing costs of cellphones, which are among the best-selling products on the market. The Galaxy A references, which are mid-range phones at low prices, are frequently at the top of the best-selling phone list.
Samsung will most likely use environmental benefits to justify its decision. The removal of the included charger does, in fact, reduce the amount of electronic waste and the size of the box. The reduced size of the box allows for the transportation of more items at a lower cost while limiting the environmental effect.
The Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy A23 should be the first models to be impacted by this new policy. These smartphones will be available in March 2022.
