Apple has begun selling certified refurbished iPhone 12 mini models in the United States. For the first time since the device’s introduction in October 2020, the company has decided to take this step.
A refurbished iPhone 12 mini with 128GB of storage in black is presently available for $579 on Apple’s online refurbished shop. It’s worth noting that Apple continues to sell a new iPhone 12 mini with 128GB of storage for $649, so the refurbished model doesn’t represent a big discount, and the gadget is also over two years old.
The reconditioned iPhone 12 mini model is SIM-free and unlocked. All refurbished iPhones include a new battery, a new outer shell, and a new white box with all the instructions, as well as a USB-C to Lightning connector. All reconditioned iPhones are guaranteed.
All refurbished iPhones come with Apple’s normal one-year guarantee and are eligible for AppleCare+ protection.
Apple claims that its refurbished iPhones are extensively inspected and cleaned, and they are practically indistinguishable from brand new iPhones in our opinion. One of the few noticeable distinctions between a certified refurbished iPhone and a new iPhone is the packaging.
The iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch OLED display, an A14 Bionic CPU, 5G, dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, and other features. Apple went on to offer an iPhone 13 mini last year, but reports say that an iPhone 14 mini will not be released this year.
A few reconditioned iPhone 12 Pro variants are also still available.
