The vanilla version will feature yet another MediaTek chip, the Dimensity 8100. Furthermore, Redmi is using MediaTek 5G chips on the K series high-end flagships for the first time.

This SoC is built on TSMC’s 5nm process and features four Cortex A78 large cores and four Cortex A55 small cores. The Mali-G610 is a six-core GPU, Lu Weibing says the Dimensity 8100 outperformed expectations.

“In our internal testing, the Dimensity 8100 not only has a powerful flagship performance, but also a frightening ultra-high energy efficiency ratio.”

You don’t have to worry about heat when playing games because of it.” In other words, unlike many Snapdragon chips, including the most recent flagship model, the new Dimensity chips can provide long-term stable performance.– Lu Weibing
