Nigeria’s eNaira App Removed From Google Play Store days After Launch

Few days after the impend launch of Nigerians Digiatal wallet currency eNaira, there has been reports of series of unexpected issues wrong with the app which as a result has led to the take down of the app from google play store.
According to the report of one user Samuel who in his own experience with the app described the Nigerian eNaira app as “an app with so many flaws.”
Meanwhile, Samuel’s disapoiting experience and reaction is one out of the many negative lists of comments in the review section of the eNaira wallet on Google Play Store under a 3-star rating and below by users.

While analizing the app he added that users of the eNaira wallet app “cannot go beyond the registration page as the app happens to send a confirmation text to an email it never requested for. Hence, there was no message to receive and couldn’t proceed with the registration on the wallet app.”

However, upon the launch of Nigerians e-Naira wallet app, which was launched I a bid to tackle and enhance payment system in country by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recorded over 100,000 app downloads across digital platforms such as Google Playstore and Apple app store as of before the take down.
Meanwhile as the number of user downloads continue to increase so also the reports of complaints. Though a certain user of the eNaira app relating to The Guardian stated he was only able to complete his signup after several series attempts.
Going forward, the take down of the Nigeria Digital Wallet app is currently been speculated to be the unacceptability of the app by the Nigerian citizens, however several other people who came across Nigeria’s pace of launching Africa’s first digital currency were delighted to share in the wallet experience only to discover come upon the absent of the application on the Google Playstore.
As at now only the Merchant Wallet was found on Play Store as of 12:07 pm (NGT) on Thursday, although the wallet app was stills available on the Apple app store but there is yet to be any stipend reason as to the sudden take down on Google’s app store by CBN.
