New DM UI MIght Be Coming To Twitter For Android
A new user interface for DMs on the Android Twitter app has been spotted in testing.

This week, you may notice a new design when sending direct messages on Twitter for Android.
According to Max Jambor, Twitter appears to be experimenting with a new user interface for direct messages in the Android app.
Previously, the message text box was grouped together with the image attachment, GIF search, and send buttons; in the new design, it has its own row. The rounded design of this box is also in keeping with Android’s aesthetic evolution.
Using Google’s Jetpack Compose tools, we were able to give the site a fresh new look, as pointed out by our very own Dylan Roussel. It appears the new look is actively rolling out now, at least in some limited tests, though he did find the UI in development as early as June of this year.
When exactly this new user interface will become available to all Twitter users is unknown. Also, the platform is getting ready to introduce an edit button, though only Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to use it for testing purposes at first. Twitter has updated its Android app with support for Spaces and podcasts just today.
