Meta Intalks To Establish physical Retail Stores To Showcase its Metaverse products

Meta previously known as Facebook before its recent transition has since last year been in deliberation of establishing retail stores to showcase its products as well as services thereby the mass majority an opportunity to experience the feeling of Metaverse.

New York Times stated that the company has been in talks about launching physical shops since the beginning of the previous year with nothing to show for it as to how far and the plans they’ve put in place into ensuring its a reality. However, If Meta eventually establish its retail outlets, the company will be making available to customers the metaverse products and devices developed by its Reality Labs division.

Further reports from the New York Times suggest the social giant to have already stipulated a few names such as Facebook Hub, Facebook Commons, Facebook Innovations, Facebook Reality Store but the company seems to be sticking with “Facebook Store” being a top preference.

The aim of the stores is to make the world “more open and connected,” according to the company documents viewed by The Times. They are also intended to spark emotions like “curiosity, closeness,” as well as a sense of feeling “welcomed” while experimenting with headsets in a “judgment-free journey,”. -statement from the report document

Going forward it adds “Early designs for Meta’s stores appeared modern, with a flat, minimalist aesthetic to the building exteriors and subtle placement of the Facebook brand, according to the documents. The company considered naming its stores Facebook Hub, Facebook Commons, Facebook Innovations, Facebook Reality Store and From Facebook, before eventually settling on the Facebook Store as a leading candidate”,.

Devices to be showcased includes Meta’s Oculus Quest which will be to be Meta Quest, Facebook virtual reality headsets, the Portal gadgets, which was mainly developed for video calling as well as the company’s reality smart glass its introduced with Ray-Ban labeled “Stories”. According to the report which further elaborated Facebook’s intention to invoke “curiosity” and “closeness” with its stores, by providing intending customers with a friendly and fill at home atmosphere for them to have a “judgment free journey” while experimenting with Metaverse products.
