A few months after the release of MIUI 13, Xiaomi is preparing to deploy its first “major” incremental upgrade in the shape of MIUI 13.5. However, Xiaomi phones running Android 11 or Android 12 will get the MIUI 13 upgrade, but only a small number of Xiaomi phones will get MIUI 13.5. One speculation suggests that certain users who own Xiaomi phones won’t be able to update to MIUI 13.5.

According to the report, the MIUI 13.5 upgrade will not be available for Xiaomi phones running Android 11. Since Xiaomi had previously been able to keep upgrading MIUI regardless of the underlying Android version, this is a significant turn in the company’s narrative.

Xiaomi Smartphones That May Not Be Eligible For MIUI 13.5 Update

The following is a list of devices that will not be receiving the much-anticipated MIUI 13.5 update. Notable the Chinese smartphone company has yet to publish the official lists of devices that will not get MIUI 13.5, and as such it’s merely a speculation list.

Apparently, it’s becoming more difficult for Xiaomi to maintain older Android smartphones with subsequent MIUI upgrades. It’s also heartbreaking for some given that Android 11 devices will no longer be supported.
