New sneak information about what Apple has in store for the upcoming releases of iOS and iPadOS 16, which are expected to be announced in a few weeks is the rollout of newer Apple Apps.
Even though iOS 16 isn’t likely to make a big change to the operating system, Gurman said in his latest Power On email that it will include new ways to interact and “fresh Apple apps.”
Since iOS 14’s redesign of widgets, users have hoped that Apple would bring interactive widgets to iOS. However, because iOS 15 didn’t change widgets much and didn’t make them interactive, there is a lot of hope that iOS 16 will make big changes to widgets.
The release of watchOS 9 is also expected to be noteworthy. WatchOS 9 will also be a “major” update, according to Gurman today. Gurman’s prior reports on iOS 16 also suggests it would have a redesigned notification system and additional health and fitness tracking capabilities.
