How to un-send an email in Gmail after 30 seconds
It happens sometimes we compose an email and just then we are about to send it remember there’s some vita part of email that has been left out but we’ve already pushed the send button and would have wanted to unsend the mail amd add up the left out part before sending. Or for an email that was typed out to vent and never should have been sent but accidentally the send button was pushed what do you do?
Well most people have sents some mails which should never have been sent and wish they could take it all back; they wanted to un-send it shortly after.
But after the countdown of 30 seconds, is it possible to recall an email in Gmail? The good news, in short, is that the answer is ‘yes’. Here’s how.

How To Recall an Email in Gmail with Undo Send
If you eventually decide not to send an email that has just been sent off, you can cancel it immediately by clicking ‘undo’ on the bottom left, where you’ll see ‘message sent’.
How much time do i have to Unsend an email on Gmail?
The total amount of time you have to recall amd u send any email sole depends on you and your settings. If you want to check, or change, how much time you are granting yourself to right your wrongs, you can visit Gmail app, then click on settings, and ‘see all settings’. From there.
Note! you’ll see a ‘send cancellation period’ next to ‘undo send’ where you can choose from five, 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
There is unfortunately no way to unsend an email after the set time period passes.
How to unsend an email in Gmail on iPhone and Android
On iPhone, you have to first open the Gmail app and be sure that you are logged in. Then, once an email has been composed and sent, you’ll see an ‘undo’ option in the bottom-right corner. You will have five seconds to undo the send command.
Once recalled, the email will reopen as a draft and you can then edit or discard it.
Currently its not possible to undo a sent mail on the official gmail app but you can edit your ‘general settings’ so that you have to confirm an email before sending it.
