That’s almost a quarter of the revenue generated by Facebook that year. Interestingly, Instagram generates its revenue via users data tracking which helps the company channel interested ads to its users which is the primary source of its income.
Though Instagram displays ads serving almost entirely within the app — between its insta stories, on the feed, and even on the search page. which can really be quite annoying at times but there again it helps stay updated with on going promos and products of brands near you which you might likely be interested in.

Step 1: First of all, launch the Facebook app on your Android smartphone, Now tap on the three horizontal lines as shown below.

Step 6: On the next page, use the toggle button to turn off ‘Facebook’ and ‘Instagram.’
Step 7: Now go back and tap on the ‘Categories used to reach you then tap on the ‘Interest Categories’. Now you will need to opt-out of all the Interest Categories
Step 8: You need to do the same for ‘Other Categories’ as well.
That’s it! The Likes of Facebook and Instagram will not be able to channel highly accurate ads to you on Instagram and Facebook.
