Apple has recently updated its iOS 15 features page to showcase some additional info about the new software update ahead of its wide release.
Dual Sim Switch on iMessage
According to Apple, the feature support for Find My network support for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max has been delayed until “later this fall,” and iOS 15 will now allows apple device users to switch between phone numbers in the middle of an iMessage conversation on an iPhone with Dual SIM support ranging from the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and later models.
Additional Language support
In addition to the highlights the company is bringing the addition of Japanese in the list of new Voice Control languages aswell as the addition of Singapore for countries with air quality maps in the Weather app on iOS 15. Apple unveiled that iOS 15 has a new SF Arabic system font, which users in India can now choose from ranging up to 10 of their most recently used UPI payment apps when they scan UPI QR codes using the Camera app for merchant payments.
Apple map app is all getting a new update whereby the app would switch to a 3D road-level perspective when approaching a complex interchange. For now It’s not entirely clear if the feature has been abandoned or not.
Apple highlighted iCloud Private Relay as a beta feature in the previous month, and the iOS 15 highlight page now states that when using Private Relay, some websites may have issues like showing content meant for other region or perhaps requiring extra efforts to sign in.
According to the company, the new iOS will be rolled out today after series of beta testing and the software update will be compatible with the same iPhones with iOS 14, including older devices like the original iPhone SE and iPhone 6s.
