Kuo revealed in a memo to investors saying that Apple is planning two new iPhone SE models for 2022 and 2023, respectively. According to Kuo, the 2022 iPhone SE will appear in the first part of the year with 3GB of memory, while the 2023 iPhone SE will have more major enhancements, such as a bigger display and 4GB of memory.
We anticipate that Apple will sell a new iPhone SE in 2023 with a bigger display than the 4.7-inch display of the 1H22 SE and 4GB of memory support (vs. 3GB in the 1H22 SE). Luxshare-ICT is expected to be the NPI supplier for the 2023 iPhone SE.
Kuo’s projections roughly correspond to the abundance of previous speculations surrounding the next-generation iPhone SE variants. According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple is developing a new 4.7-inch iPhone SE with 5G connection for release in 2022, followed by a successor iPhone SE model with a 5.7-inch to 6.1-inch LCD display in 2024. Young first stated that the bigger iPhone SE model was planned for 2023 but was pushed back to 2024, but Kuo now believes that it is still in the works for 2023.
According to some speculations, the bigger iPhone SE model will sport an iPhone XR-like design, maybe with a hole-punch front-facing camera, and will be Apple’s penultimate iPhone with an LCD display. The 2022 iPhone SE, on the other hand, is predicted to maintain the current model’s design and 4.7-inch display while adding 5G connection, an A14 or A15 Chip although it is not confirmed.
