Apple has released the second beta of the anticipated macOS Monterey 12.2 upgrade to developers for testing, three weeks after the first beta and a month after the release of macOS Monterey 12.1.

Registered developers may access the beta via the Apple Developer Center, and after installing the proper profile, betas will be accessible via the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. Apple has also issued a release candidate version of macOS 11.6.3 for Big Sur customers.

We don’t know what’s in macOS Monterey 12.2, and no new features were discovered in the first beta. If anything new comes up in the second beta, we’ll update this post.

As of now, Apple has failed to include one significant feature to macOS Monterey: Universal Control. Universal Control is intended to allow a single mouse and trackpad to be used with numerous Macs and iPads, and it will be available this spring, according to Apple.
