Apple Giving Retail Employees Up to a $1,000 One-Time Bonus Sum

Apple will be granting its Apple Store employees one-time sum bonuses amounting up to $1,000, this report from Bloomberg. and in line with report, the bonuses will be handed to employees who have been working during the global health pandemic.
All Apple’s Retail employees who were hired before March 31, 2021 will be gifted $1,000 by the company, and every other employees who joined the company after will be granted $500 as symbol of appreciation and the company saying “Thank you” to its employees for their diligent efforts in working during the pandemic.
Report says every employees hired for the holiday shopping season will also be given $200. Apple plans to provide the said bonuses to those who work in retail stores as well as others who engage in online sales, and AppleCare staff.
Apple does not often give bonuses to its retail staff. The previous bonus granted by the company went out around 2018 when Apple granted $2,500 in restricted stock units to most of its employees, not excluding those working at Apple Stores. These bonuses was handed out after the introduction of the new United States tax laws and were directed to most employees below director level.
However, this time around, the $1,000 bonuses will be provided as paychecks to the employees rather than as stock units like the previous bonus.
