Apple iPad Pro

According to Apple tracker Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple plans to deliver an iPad Pro with the rumoured M2 processor between September and November of this year. Expect a substantial upgrade from Apple for the next generation of iPad Pros, which is expected to feature support for MagSafe charging, according to Gurman.

In 2018, Apple made a big upgrade to the iPad Pro with a design that had tougher edges, a full-screen display, and a USB-C port. After the 2017 introduction of the iPad Pro 10.5, Apple released this upgrade around a year and a half later.

In May 2021, Apple unveiled the most current generation of M1-equipped iPad Pros. This year, Apple is on schedule to resume the same trend. One year, four months, and one year and six months are the estimated timeframes for Apple to prepare the next model for release in 2022.

This month’s “Peek Performance” event included a new iPad Air, but no new iPad Pro models were on display. He predicted that the iPad Pro would include wireless charging and a glass back last year, and both of these features have been implemented. But insiders suggest Apple may have ditched its glass back design in favour of aluminium back with a glass Apple logo, according to 9to5Mac.

The speculated M2 processor hasn’t been verified by Apple, so there hasn’t been much information about it either. However, Gurman believes the chip’s CPU to be somewhat more powerful, with an eight-core design. Aside from the new iPad Pro, the M2 is expected to be included in Apple’s next 13-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and 24-inch iMac models. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the revamped MacBook Air will use the M1 processor, while Gurman predicts the M2 chip will be included.
