Two weeks before its first Prime Early Access Sale event, set for October 11-12, Amazon announced a slew of new products. However, unlike its predecessors, Amazon‘s new Fire TV Cube seems to be the most noteworthy upgrade.
Fire TV Cube’s Super Resolution Upscaling allows for 4K playback of material initially created in HD. In addition, the technology aims to improve image quality by upscaling HD footage to 4K, which has more detail, contrast, and clarity. If you’ve misplaced your Alexa Voice Remote Pro, say, “Alexa, locate my remote,” and the device will start ringing (or you may press a button on the Fire TV app).

The updated remote now has two programmable buttons that may be used to quickly access frequently used features, such as specific channels, applications, or even the full range of Alexa’s capabilities. In addition, the new Alexa Voice Remote Pro supports most Fire TV streaming media players, Amazon Fire TV smart TVs, and smart TVs with Fire TV built-in.
In the United States, pre-orders for the brand new Fire TV Cube may be placed for just $140. In addition, the brand new Alexa Voice Remote Pro, which can be pre-ordered for $35, is also currently on sale.
