2022 Apple Watch Tipped To Include Three New Models

According to a memo to investors obtained by MacRumors, the 2022 Apple Watch range will feature the Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, and a new “extreme sports” version:
In 2H22, the new Apple Watch features the Apple Watch 8, the new Apple Watch SE, and the extreme sports edition. Luxshare-ICT is the Apple Watch 8 and extreme sports variants’ NPI supplier.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said last week that Apple is going to release the Apple Watch Series 8, a new Apple Watch SE model, and a “rugged” variant for sports. While Gurman has previously discussed Apple’s work on an Apple Watch “with a rugged casing” aimed at athletes, hikers, and other use cases involving extreme conditions, Kuo’s latest note is the first acknowledgement of the “rugged” Apple Watch model outside of Bloomberg, potentially lending credence to the rumour.
The next-generation Apple Watch SE is unknown, but the Apple Watch Series 8 may have additional health monitoring features, such as blood glucose monitoring. According to Kuo, all three Apple Watch models will be available in the second half of 2022.
The next two iPhone SE models, the second-generation AirPods Pro, and the first two generations of Apple’s mixed reality headset were also disclosed in Kuo’s memo.
